Skin in the Game: Graphene Tattoos, Squishy Circuits, and the Future of Bioelectronics

- What is Bioelectronics and why it matters?
- What exactly are graphene tattoos, and how do they measure body signals?
- How do these wearable sensors track electrophysiology (e.g., heart rate, muscle signals)?
- What is conductive putty, and how is it used to sense stress or control a robot?
- What’s next for wearable bioelectronics: where is the field headed?

Dr. Dmitry Kireev is an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Texas at Austin. He is working on application of 2D materials (graphene, MoS2, PtSe2 etc) into fields of bioelectronics, neuroprosthesis, and wearable electronics. He finished his PhD work at the Institute of Bioelectronics (ICS-8) of Forschungszentrum Julich, Germany, working on graphene-based devices for bioelectronics. He is a recipient of a prestigious EMM-NANO scholarship and performed his master study in KULeuven and Chalmers University with majors in nanoelectronics.

Bring a friend and join us as we enjoy lively conversations, prizes, and brilliant minds. Light refreshments will be available outside the presentation room, first come, first served.

ABB allows guests to bring outside food into the establishment: please feel free to bring food if you’d like to!
